I am a Nature Therapist with 12 years of experience in the mental health field. My education is in Social Work and Solution Focused Brief Therapy. I use this training to help individuals become the best version of themselves while they interact with nature and exercise.
I have helped individuals struggling with various mental, emotional and social issues such as postpartum mood disorder, early and late pregnancy loss, domestic violence, anxiety, depression, substance misuse and abuse.
I am passionate about helping others be the best version of themselves while engaging in light activity and nature. I am an avid Crossfitter, biker and swimmer. I have completed many triathlons of various distances and swam across the Northumberland Strait twice. I love the opportunity to explore the amazing trails NB has to offer.
Everyone has the skills, ability and resources to deal with any problem that arises. My jobs is to reveal those skills, ability and resources so they can be used to be create the best version of yourself.
Solution Focus Brief Therapy is an approach of psychotherapy which focuses on building solutions then problem solving. It explores individual’s skills, abilities and attributes instead of present problems and past causes (Iveson, 2002). It involves having conversations that focus on your desired future and revealing how those strengths and resources you can be used to make that future a reality (Froerer and Connie, 2016)
